Laurie Van ValkenburghABOUT LAURIE

Since 1986 Laurie has studied and worked in the field of holistic healing. She holds certifications in Quan Yin Healing, Reiki Levels I & II, Foot Reflexology, Shiatsu, Macrobiotic Counseling, and advanced levels of training in Shin Tai. The Shin Tai training includes Structural Alignment, Central Channel Integration, Cranial-Sacral and Myofascial Release. Laurie is a member of AOBTA & ABMP.

Laurie's practice is founded on a deep respect for her clients' individual needs. She provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment in which the healing process can begin. The process unfolds one layer at a time, allowing the client to move along the path of wholeness gradually and gently.

Laurie seeks to provide her clients with the pathway to self freedom and to the peace that lies within us all.

PHILOSOPHY

Laurie believes that we are becoming a reactive society and that the reactive response negatively impacts our auto immune systems. Our bodies are not meant to take the daily stress that society pushes upon us. From stress, our bodies manufacture toxins which then get stored in joints, organs, and other parts of the body. In essence, the body is attacking itself, creating aches, pains, and diseases such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatique syndrome, and others.

Laurie's treatments help to balance the body and help it heal.

Testimonial

Ever since I started to see you, I have noticed my self changing slowly - for the better. Every session reveals something I was not aware of that was blocking my energies. You helped release the anger after a relationship went south and also gave me insight as to how to avoid the re-occurrence or to further release the blockage...
It has been truly amazing how I felt during and after my last session. I felt so energized, relaxed, strong and able to handle any challenge life was going to throw my way. Thanks for balancing me!! if only everyone were able to experience what I have – truly balanced.
